Description

Silver is a soft, lustrous element belonging to the transition group of metals in the periodic table. It has a melting point of 962°C, a density of 10.5 g/cm³ and a vapour pressure of 10-4 Torr at 1,105°C. Silver has been used in countless products since time immemorial. It is ductile, malleable and the most electrically conductive of all metals. It is considered a precious metal and can be found in jewellery, solder, paints and mirrors. It is vaporised in a vacuum to make semiconductors, sensors, fuel cells and optical coatings.

* This is a recommendation based on our experience with these materials in our sputter guns. Rates are based on unbonded targets and are material specific. Bonded targets should be operated at lower power to avoid bond failure. Bonded targets should be operated at 20 watts/square inch or less depending on the material.
